The Bliss of You

The word I chose for 2014 was Joy so it's only fitting to end the year with a poem that depicts Joy or the Bliss of God.

Sing that song you sang to me
That intoxicated my heart many millennia ago
Sing that song you sang to me
That made my heart overflow

Play the melody you played to me
That enticed my spirit and bound me close to you
Play the melody you played to me
That sparked a love so true

Dance that dance you danced with me
That exhilarated my soul through time and space
Dance that dance you danced with me
With cosmic swirls and perfect grace

For when you sing and play and dance
The Universe hums in harmony
And souls then sing and play and dance
And peace prevails consciously

For joy is the essence of your creation
And joy is the way to eternal life
For joy is your blessing for all creation
And joy is the way to your side.

  3. It is a good thing to choose a positive power word as a guide. Sadly, there was little to be joyful for in 2014. Let's hope for better in the new year.

  6. Nice poem, I like rhyme and meter caring poems. They are fun to write but take more time.
While in the second verse I thought of the GMA TV program this morning. Three younger women were handling the broadcast this morning. The were bubbling over with happiness and silliness. Just added to the ladies in your picture find. Very inviting.

It wasn't until the last that I saw it was dedicated to God's love. :)
Thank you for letting me read it, Suzzy. God bless you.
And, my wish is for you a HAPPY NEW NEW YEAR !!!

  10. A wonderful remembrance and imnvocation all in one! Joy is made of the song, melody and dance that sometimes seem to hide behind harder times, but are accessibe nonetheless.
