The Lion King .... WTFOW Day1 #WriteBravely

“The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.”
– The Lion King

Memories surface
Deep pain fills my grieving heart
Madeira beckons

Tears begin to flow
Past wrongs begin to surface

I am taking part in the Write Tribe Festival of Words

For the June 2018 festival I thought I would write some haiku and give this neglected blog a little love. Trying to bring back the poetry mojo.

  1. That's a powerful lesson. Holding on to the past never does any good. It's best to let go and move on!

    1. Thanks Priya. I like haiku for the reason that in few words you can convey a lot.

  3. That's a powerful message, Suzy - Learn to let it go. My daughter often signs this song, being a big fan of Frozen, "Let it go". I guess we should all try to let it go. Let bygones be bygones. BTW, liked your haiku too, conveyed so much in few lines.

    1. Thanks Anshu. And I love the song Let it be by the Beatles. Funny how I always hear it when something needs to be released.
